Job Summary:
We are looking for a systematic-thinking UX Designer to join the Amazon Customer Service UX Studio. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in defining, building, and documenting our design system for tools used by Amazon Customer Service associates worldwide. Your efforts will be pivotal in ensuring consistent, efficient, and intuitive experiences that enhance how Amazon delivers customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and evolution of customer service design system components and patterns
• Create comprehensive documentation outlining usage guidelines, best practices, and implementation details for design system components
• Develop detailed pattern libraries with examples, use cases, and rationale to guide builder teams
• Write clear documentation to explain how and why specific components and patterns should be utilized
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and research teams to understand associate needs and workflows for scalable design solutions
• Establish self-service resources for builder teams to implement design patterns autonomously
• Conduct research and usability testing to validate design system components and patterns
• Drive adoption through effective communication and educational materials
Skills:
• 7 years of UX design experience with a significant focus on design systems or component libraries
• Experience in large-scale enterprise design systems
• Strong portfolio showcasing systematic thinking and component-based design solutions
• Excellent written communication skills with technical documentation experience
• Proficiency in modern design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with design tokens, accessibility standards, and scaling designs across multiple products

Pay Range: $70 - $85 per hour
