At Amazon Payment Products, we manage a diverse portfolio — from consumer credit cards like Prime Visa and Amazon Store Card to rewards programs and installment partnerships. Our team is constantly pushing boundaries to create new products, pursue new partnerships, or create market-leading features that simplify and enhance our customer’s financial experiences.
You bring a unique blend of creativity and strategic thinking from 5 years of creating experiences for leading consumer brands. You have a deep understanding of design principles, and keen attention to detail. You are an organized self-starter who can deal with ambiguity and deliver independently. You are an excellent cross-functional collaborator and are comfortable presenting and defending your ideas to other designers, marketers, product managers, engineers, and leaders.
In this role, you'll collaborate across design (visual and user experience), marketing, and product teams. You'll transform customer insights into compelling visual narratives, using data to guide your creative decisions. Your work will directly impact how millions of customers experience Amazon's financial products.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $108,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Basic Qualifications
- 5 years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience working with agile development teams (agile/scrum/kanban)
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suit applications, with high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat using macOS
- Knowledge of branding guidelines and corporate identity, visual design, print and digital layout design, with experience in designing for both mobile and desktop applications
- Outstanding portfolio demonstrating strong visual design fundamentals, human-centered design solutions, and measurable results
- Expertise in Figma
- Ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity (verbally and in writing) to audiences from peers to senior leadership
- Experience with distributed team collaboration
- Proficient scaling efficiently and effectively for multiple partners and channels
- Experience using data and consumer insights to inform creative decision making
- Bachelor's degree in design or equivalent experience
- Experience with e-commerce, search, social, and other major application types and their UX patterns
- Experience creating services and applications with multiple user touch points on different platforms and devices
- Experience with motion design and video editing is a bonus
- Fintech or banking design experience
- Marketing design experience
- Knowledge of information architecture, usability, UI and UX design
