Position Summary
The Principal is seeking a highly experienced person with proven technical skills, to support the Principal with all aspects of his personal spaces at his primary residence; wardrobe management; toiletries and other supplies as well as other personal support for the family and residence. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of wardrobe care, procurement, and management; experience in provisioning and maintaining inventories of all types of personal supplies; understanding of and experience working in a home with adult children who visit frequently and pets (dogs); assist with other duties including dog care, house tasks. This is an active, hands-on position that requires significant time standing and walking around throughout the day; housekeeping; dog care; set, serving, and clearing dining table; occasional food preparation breakfast, snack, beverage, lunch; turn down service, etc.
Roles and Responsibilities for House Staff
The duties include hands-on care of all the Principal's personal space at his primary residence, including home office, closets, and wardrobes; and flexibility in serving the family as directed.
Wardrobe Management
- Precise maintenance of Principal's wardrobe; inventories and organization
- Dry cleaning management : oversight of all wardrobe items (includes all residential locations) ensuring that they are routed back to the correct location
- Checking and ensuring watch collection is operational and set accurately Shoe care (predominantly done in-house)
- On-line order placement (e.g., collar stays, hangers, travel tags, clothing, etc.) as needed
- Liaise with tailor, couture clothing vendors, and various other vendors on behalf of Principal
Packing
Extensive travel packing preparations and supervision (travel occurs almost weekly, from 1x to several, must be done with precision with appropriate accoutrements, anticipate all needs, check weather, understand all logistics).
Packing
Prepare all outfits with the appropriate accoutrements and accessories depending on activities, weather, etc. ex : Watches, ties, handkerchiefs etc.Communicate with Assistant HM for all medications, vitamins, toiletries, specialty items, such as cigars, alcohol etc. to be packedTag all bags with appropriate locationCommunicate to aviation and security # of bags medicine and vitamins (via email, with clear photos)Administrative
