About the Role
The Building Services Liaison is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and functionality of the Urbandale campus by managing relationships and day-to-day tasks with vendors, conducting regular inspections, coordinating repairs, and implementing preventative maintenance strategies. This involves cross-department coordination at all levels of the organization. Additionally, this role will aid the Service Desk in providing prompt, professional, and courteous support to resolve basic IT problems and ensure user satisfaction.

Building Services
- Serve as the primary point of contact for building services requests, including maintenance, repairs, and general facility inquiries.
- Oversee upkeep of office spaces including repairs, cleaning, and utilities.
- Manage vendor expectations and duties as defined in the contract with property management firm.
- In collaboration with leadership, manage office space planning to optimize workspace utilization.
- Work with AMBA compliance and safety teams to create and update emergency incident response plans.
- Ensure that the facility is prepared and capable of following emergency response plans.
- Coordinate office relocations, renovations, and expansions based on leadership guidance.
- With leadership input, ensure workspace design aligns with company culture and employee needs.
- Monitor and track service requests to ensure efficient follow-up and closure.
- Vendor & Supplier Coordination
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely resolution of issues
- Oversee procurement of office supplies, furniture, ergonomic hardware and supplies, and IT equipment.
- Manage waste disposal, recycling, and sustainability initiatives.
- Monitor expenses related to utilities, repairs, and vendor services.
- IT
- Ensure the operability of building security systems, access controls, and surveillance.
- Monitor expenses related to utilities, repairs, and vendor services.
- Manage workspace technology such as printers, meeting room AV equipment, and display monitors.
- Provide tier 1 support for IT-related issues including troubleshooting hardware, software, and access problems.
- Log and track tickets, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
- Adhere to escalation procedures for more complex issues.
- Provide support for IT projects and initiatives assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent. An Associate’s degree in IT or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a customer service or asset management role; experience in an building support role is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and common software applications (Microsoft Office Suite).

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
