The Opportunity
The Loan Admin Assistant will assist loan officers by preparing loan documentation for agricultural, commercial, and consumer customers. Assist customers with questions, issues, payments, etc. Process loan payments and loan advance requests. Provide additional administrative assistance to loan officers.
Count On To:
- Assist loan officers with loan documentation using the loan processing system
- Mail past due/loan maturity notices and process payment received and loan advance requests
- File, build, and process loans and supporting documentation for credit files
- Scan files into the digital loan file system
- Answer bank phone line in prompt, friendly manner and assist customer service representatives with transactions and customer interactions at the teller line
- Meet with customers in person or by phone to assist in their needs. Build and maintain customer relationships in cooperation with officers.
- Assist Loan Officers with administrative work such as contacting customers for information, creating reports, data entry, correspondence, etc.
- Support the loan origination process by coordinating related documentation
- Maintain the tickler system for miscellaneous items needed
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge And Skills:
- One year of business school or six to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Write simple correspondence
- Apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Knowledge in bank deposit products; ability to cross-sell
- Communicate effectively with customers and loan officers
- Knowledge of Microsoft office applications, core processing, and loan software
