Job Title : RN or LPN Unit Manager
Facility : Ambassador Healthcare at College Park, Fort Myers, FL
Shift : Full-Time, 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 PM
Salary : $38 per hour
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Assist the DON and ADON in evaluating and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department in compliance with current regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure nursing services personnel adhere to their respective job descriptions.
- Review complaints and grievances from staff, ensuring appropriate reporting to the Director of Nursing Services.
- Lead and manage the assigned unit, providing professional guidance to both professional and nonprofessional staff.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate staffing levels and minimize overtime and agency personnel usage.
- Implement progressive counseling and recommend / implement disciplinary actions when needed.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, including the development and evaluation of quality care programs.
- Teach, demonstrate, and evaluate nursing skills for direct resident care.
- Oversee MDS completion and participate in the development of discharge plans with the interdisciplinary team.
- Assist in the recruitment and selection of nursing personnel and ensure the highest quality of service in a caring, compassionate atmosphere.
