Description
DEPARTMENT: Beverage Service
REPORTS TO: Restaurant Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Receive and take guest orders and process in a timely manner through whatever systems are currently used in the restaurant.
· Serve food and beverages to guests.
· Perform sidework as assigned
· Operate point of sale system.
· Straighten chairs, and keep floor free of debris.
· Clean service area and replenish as needed.
· Bus and set tables.
· Handle cash and credit transactions.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Communicate with support crew and management.
· Adhere to the Coury Hospitality Cash Handling Policy.
- Extend and total the check double-check for accuracy and have host sign it.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Able to push, stand, stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds repetitively
· Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
· Knowledge of wine and other alcoholic beverages and have the ability to explain to guests.
· Must be able to obtain a state liquor license.
EXPERIENCE:
· Previous bartending or cocktail serving experience preferred.
