Ambassador Personnel is seeking an Electrical Engineer for their client in Montgomery, AL. This is a hybrid, direct hire opportunity with competitive pay and benefits. The Electrical Engineer must be familiar with all aspects of electrical engineering including lighting, power distribution, energy codes and LEED requirements. The Electrical Engineer ensures that safety standards and operational requirements are followed to ensure incorporation of electrical systems into the overall structural design. The Electrical Engineer should have a solid understanding of federal, DOD, healthcare and commercial type facilities, infrastructure and distribution.
Job responsibilities:
- Perform energy studies and load analysis for power distribution, renewable power systems, and life cycle cost analysis.
- Perform design calculation and power quality studies consisting of short circuit, coordination and arc-flash analysis.
- Design and prepare total project documents including drawings, specifications, design calculations and basic knowledge of estimating electrical systems.
- Perform field analysis of existing electrical systems for system expansion capabilities and renovations.
- Oversee projects to track progress and manage cost within budgetary limitations
- Create redlines, adjustments and modifications to drafts and drawings to resolve any electrical issues that arise during construction.
- Travel to construction sites to ensure proper execution of design and quality standards. International travel may be required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a PE license or EIT
- Proficient with electrical design software (e.g. AGI32, SKM, Auto CAD and Revit)
- Knowledge of domestic and international electrical codes
- Ability to work in metric and imperial units
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work within a collaborative environment with other engineers and construction teams
- Ability to obtain a passport for domestic and international travel, as needed, and a government approved CAC ID card
- Requires successful completion of a drug test and background check
- Previous experience in healthcare and government projects
