What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paint Technician position at Ambassador Personnel, Inc.?
We are searching for a Paint Technician in the Simpsonville, SC area.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· This position is responsible for formulating and applying properly mixed and dispensed automotive refinish materials to vehicle surfaces and sub-assemblies, using spray-painting equipment, power tools and other related equipment.
· Mix only the amount of refinish products (primer, base and clear) required to cover repair/refinish area and limit waste, using paint suppliers “mix-management system."
· Apply refinish coatings, using only approved, provided HVLP spray equipment set at recommended pressure.
· Update all paint supplier color, technical data and MSDS material as received.
· Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
· Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e., provide technical assistance and train new employees, manage paint inventory to meet production, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
· Must have HS Diploma or Certificate of Completion (GED).
· 5 years of automotive painting experience required.
· Valid Annual Respirator Fit Test documentation required.
· Valid HAPS Paint Training Certification required.
· Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
· Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
PREFERRED SKILLS
· ASE certified automotive paint preparation and application preferred.
· High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
