What are the responsibilities and job description for the AR/Collections Coordinator position at Ambassador Resources?
Job Description:
Run Trial Balance report weekly to update the appropriate personnel on issues/concerns.
Analyze credit worthiness of new customers. Investigate / Process credit applications (bank and trade references); and make recommendation to the Director of Credit
Recommend credit limits for new and present customers based upon review of customers credit file.
Check First Midwest for Previous day cash activity and report to Management.
Analyze daily incoming remittances and accurately post them to customer accounts.
Research discrepancies and seek resolution.
Process Returns
Daily review collection reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding.
Contact past due customers and maintain detailed notes for timely follow up.
Work closely with sales to ensure collection guidelines are adhered to and issues quickly resolved.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associate Degree or bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and five years related experience or the equivalent combination of training and experience which indicates the ability to handle the job.
Familiarity with computer accounting systems: Microsoft GP experience preferred.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Excel.
Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage responsibilities.
Strong communication skills with the ability to know when to be collaborative and when to be aggressive.

Will work with internal and external customers and must be a team player.
