Description :
This role is responsible for providing accurate and complete designs in a timely manner while following standard company practices and procedures. This position is also responsible for final design and making sure all codes and loads have been evaluated. This is a sales support position, assisting our sales / detailing departments within commercial, heavy industrial, conventional and hybrid projects.
As a Designer, you will :
- Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Produce detailed placement plans and steel designs using plans and specifications to meet the customer’s needs and building codes.
- Consult with project engineers, architects, construction personnel, and internal sales team to clarify requirements and rectify problems
- Accurately design considering structural integrity, load-bearing capacity, and safety standards
- Communicate with customers and answer technical questions
- Support the sales team with excellent customer service (internal and external)
- Communicate specifications with the production team to ensure timely production
