If candidate does not have AK CNA license, they must have license in hand prior to start. Licensing timeline is 6-8 weeks. To qualify for AK CNA license candidates must hold an active CNA license in another state and have completed a formal CNA training program that can be verified via EDV.

UNIT INFORMATION
Co-Care / Virtual Nursing Model is utilized on this unit. For every patient there is 1 bedside RN, 1 Virtual RN, and 1 CNA.
Beside RN and CNA patient ratios are 1 : 6
The virtual nurse works remotely and assists patient with admission questions, discharge education, care plans, education, CIWA, following up with MD along with a plethora of other tasks that can be delegated to them.
