As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of a clinical laboratory. Your primary responsibilities will involve assisting with specimen collection, processing, and maintaining accurate laboratory records.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and phlebotomy to collect blood samples
- Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure proper storage
- Conduct vital sign measurements and document patient information accurately
- Assist in the maintenance and organization of laboratory equipment and supplies
- Follow standard operating procedures for specimen collection processing
- Provide basic patient care during sample collection procedures
Skills
- Proficiency in blood sampling techniques including venipuncture
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Experience working in a laboratory setting is preferred
- Ability to handle specimens with care and accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with patients and healthcare professionals
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,200.00 per week
