Job Description : Position Summary :
The Acute Care Sonographer IIprovides health care services in ultrasound (US), to assist in diagnosis ortreatment. Performs US procedures and related techniques, producing images forthe interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
Minimum Qualifications :
Required
- American Registry forDiagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in a minimum of one category - OB / Gyn orAbdomen / Small Parts
- American Registry ofDiagnostic Medical Sonography certification in a minimum of one advancedcategory (Fetal Echocardiography, Breast, Pediatrics, or Registered VascularTechnology, Musculoskeletal) or ten years of experience in advanced practicewith a commitment to obtain advanced registry within one year of hire
- American Heart AssociationBLS within 90 days of hire
- Two (2) years post-graduationexperience in advanced US practice reflecting registration status
Essential Job Functions :
In addition to the essential functions of thejob listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all requirededucation as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and otherregistry requirements.
Performs US exams and procedures in both inpatient and outpatient setting.Assists the physician and other medical staff during exams and procedures.Completes documentation, in designated area, of ll information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, nd retrieval of exams.Performs ancillary duties as required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.Retrieves and reviews previous studies, reports, written orders, and related health information to insure the timely performance and reporting of US exams and procedures.Participates in the implementation, monitoring, nd improvement of the organization's quality indicators as described in the strategic plan.Participate in call rotation to support acute care services.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Candidates must live at least 90 miles from facility to be considered for assignment. Do not submit candidates living less than 90 miles from facility.
Facility reserves the right to cancel three (3) shifts per 13-week contract in the event of low census or other unforeseen circumstances.
