Job Summary
As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by meticulously sterilizing and preparing medical equipment for surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
- Assemble instrument trays following established count sheets
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality
- Operate sterilizers, washers, and other equipment to maintain sterile conditions
- Maintain accurate records of processed items
- Assist in inventory management of supplies and equipment
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
Experience
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in sterile processing techniques
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices
- Experience in inventory management within a healthcare setting is beneficial
