Sterile Processing Technician

• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Work Hours per Week: 40 hours
• 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (5×8-hour shifts per week)
• OR 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (4×10-hour shifts per week)
• 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (15:00–23:30)
• OR 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM (09:00–19:30)

Job Overview

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by maintaining the cleanliness and sterility of medical equipment used in healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sterilize, and assemble medical instruments and equipment
• Inspect instruments for defects and ensure proper functioning
• Maintain accurate records of processed items
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to meet patient care needs

Skills

• Proficiency in aseptic technique to prevent infections
• Knowledge of medical terminology for effective communication with healthcare staff
• Experience in sterile processing techniques to maintain equipment integrity
• Ability to manage inventory efficiently to ensure availability of supplies
• Understanding of physiology and anatomy to handle medical instruments appropriately

Pay: $1,461.00 - $1,700.00 per week
