About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Aerospace Consultant with a strong background in Aerospace Engineering and senior leadership to support our clients in the Aerospace & Defense industry. The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of leadership experience, providing strategic guidance, operational improvements, and technical expertise to drive innovation and efficiency in aerospace manufacturing and engineering environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic consulting and technical advisory services to aerospace clients, focusing on manufacturing, engineering, and operational excellence.
- Lead process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and performance optimization in aerospace production and engineering functions.
- Support new product development, compliance, and regulatory adherence (FAA, AS9100, ITAR, etc.).
- Conduct gap analysis and implement best practices for supply chain, quality control, and advanced manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, R&D, production, and leadership to drive business transformation.
- Assess and advise on the integration of Industry 4.0, digital transformation, and automation in aerospace operations.
- Develop and deliver executive-level reports, recommendations, and presentations to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 10 years of senior leadership experience in the aerospace industry (Director, VP, or equivalent roles).
- Deep understanding of aerospace manufacturing, engineering principles, supply chain, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record in strategy development, process optimization, and business transformation.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace materials, advanced manufacturing techniques, and quality standards.
- Ability to analyze complex technical problems and provide practical, data-driven solutions.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in consulting, advisory, or executive coaching roles.
- Exposure to digital transformation, AI, and smart manufacturing in aerospace applications.
- Understanding of global aerospace markets, trends, and emerging technologies.
1099 Contractor Role
This is a 1099 independent contractor position, meaning the consultant will be responsible for managing their own taxes, benefits, and expenses.
