Job Description
The Financial Planning Associate (FPA) will work with our advisors to deliver financial plans to our clients through a comprehensive planning process that integrates risk and investment products. The FPA helps increase productivity by improving meeting preparation and ensuring a great client experience. This position is for an individual who will be motivated by helping clients achieve their financial planning goals. The ideal candidate is constantly learning and applying knowledge to optimize processes and ensure a smooth, efficient experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Be a great teammate
- Client meeting preparation
o Compile client notes history
o Run Consolidated Client View Reports
o Investigate client record for any relevant documentation
o Create meeting agenda templates
o Run Morningstar reports
o Prepare investment advisory proposals
o Run new and in-force insurance illustrations
o Ensure proper information sharing is on file
o Ensure proper disclosures are prepared for meetings
o Create meeting presentation visuals
o Print or prepare for emailing client documents
- Working with Northwestern Mutual’s home office to coordinate research, reports and plans
- Maintaining a compliant practice ensuring client documents are electronically filed
- Client meeting follow-up tasks that require financial planning research
Additional
- Maintain a team focused attitude and be prepared to help wherever necessary
- Complete ad-hoc projects as needed
- One year experience in the securities/financial planning industry preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Obtain Life Accident & Health, SIE, Series 7 and Series 63 within 2 years of employment
