As a Family Support Associate, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. You will work closely with families to provide support and guidance, helping them to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist families in crisis through DCFS programs, including Family Habilitation Services, Visitation and Housing.
- Transport parent and/or children to and from locations for supervised visitation, with the potential for extensive travel.
- Collaborate with families to develop and implement personalized plans to address their unique needs and challenges.
- Provide education and training to families on topics such as homemaking skills, parenting skills, and anger management.
- Conduct regular home visits to assess the safety and well-being of clients, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary interventions.
- Document all interactions with clients, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of family support.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers, counselors, and medical professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
