Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Amberwell Health in Atchison. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with patients receiving physical therapy as inpatients, outpatients, and Home Health/Hospice.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. They will also be able to work independently, make decisions under pressure, and manage stress appropriately.
Responsibilities:
- Perform treatments and provide exercise instruction and demonstration for patients
- Work collaboratively with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on physical therapy techniques and progress
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
- Kansas licensed Physical Therapy Assistant
- Graduate of accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Two years of experience preferred
- Twenty CEUs every two years to maintain licensure
