We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Registered Nurse to join our team at Amberwell Health Hiawatha. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with providers and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care and assistance to patients in collaboration with the provider and other members of the healthcare team.
- Clinical Services: Perform clinical responsibilities such as patient intake, documenting medical history, vital signs, preparing and administering injections and vaccinations, EKGs, performing CLIA waived lab testing, and additional medical services within the scope of practice of the RN.
- Team Collaboration: Assist other healthcare professionals in performing exams, diagnostic procedures, treatments, and minor surgical procedures in the clinic setting.
- Patient Coordination: Coordinate and manage care of patients seen by the provider, including following up and tracking testing, referrals, and ensuring all patient information is accurately recorded in the patient chart for quality reporting and data extraction purposes.
- Insurance and Prior Authorizations: Stay informed of insurance requirements and guidelines for patient care, perform prior authorizations, and act as a patient advocate.
- Wellness and Health Maintenance: Regularly monitor patients to promote wellness and health maintenance, including preventative and chronic care.
- Plan of Care: Participate in the development of the plan of care with other team members and safely implement that plan.
