Floor Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Floor Technician is a key member of the environmental services team. The Floor Technician will work under the direction of the Director of Facilities. The Floor Technician position will be responsible for maintaining floors by buffing and waxing, as well as shampooing and keeping the carpets clean. This position ensures that litter and trash are removed on all scheduled days from all outside areas of the property, including parking lots and mulch beds. They participate with other maintenance personnel or contractors in the removal of snow and ice by approved methods.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Perform facility housekeeping duties on a part-time basis as assigned.
• Able to work as a member of a team and also independently.
• Understand and follow safe work practices.
• Ensure that all Amberwell procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience:
  • Minimum Required Experience: Experience in floor care, housekeeping and/or customer service.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience using floor machines, snow removal equipment.

• Certifications:

  • Preferred Certifications: Healthcare environmental services/floor technician-related certifications.
