JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Operations Office Coordinator Pharmacy Technician is a key member of the Advocate Health Services team in functioning in the dual role of office coordinator and pharmacy technician. This individual will work under the direction of the Director of AHS Operations.

Office Coordinator role, this position will oversee, plan, and implement solutions that align with the company’s policies and procedures and industry regulations. This individual will work with various Advocate Health Services team members to ensure smooth communication between all parties, including facilities, staffing candidates, and internally. In addition, this person will manage all recruiting needs, assist with contracting and onboarding candidates, handle facility requests, and engage in process improvement activities. They will possess excellent communication skills and be responsible for maintaining the documentation of competencies and readiness of staff to assign work as contracts require it. The office coordinator pharmacy technician will assist with the clerical processes for setting up and maintaining the Advocate Health Services’ business units.

Retail Pharmacy Technician role, this position is a key asset to the success of the pharmacy in many ways. This individual interacts with patients throughout the day with a customer first attitude to ensure patients are met with respect while meeting all patient needs effectively and efficiently. This person assists pharmacists and patients by safely and accurately filling prescriptions, managing inventory, processing patient payments, and providing customer service while adhering to all applicable regulations.

Qualifications


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience:
    • Required: 2 Years of Operations, Clerical, Recruiting, Staffing, Human Resources, Sales, or Customer Service experience
    • Preferred: 4 Years of Operations, Clerical Recruiting, Staffing, or Human Resources experience.  1 year experience in the field of pharmacy.
  • Education:
    • Required: Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Communications, or other related fields.
    • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in the above fields
  • Licenses:
    • Required: Kansas State Board of Pharmacy License (within 60 days of employment)
    • Preferred: N/A
  • Certifications: 
    • Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) (or within 2 years of employment)
