The Atlanta Falcons are a professional American football club and member of the National Football League (NFL).  The team’s headquarters and practice facility are located on a 50-acre site in Flowery Branch, Georgia.  The Falcons’ NFL expansion franchise was awarded in 1965 and acquired by current owner Arthur Blank, co-founder of Home Depot, in 2002.  Under Blank’s leadership, the Falcons have become one of the League’s premier teams on and off the field.

Position Summary

Assist Video Department with various practice and gameday responsibilities. 

Roles and Responsibilities

• Practice Duties
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down 8K cameras for practice
  • Assemble/pack backpacks for each camera location
    • SD Cards, Radios, Spare UMR20’S/Batteries, Hand-Held Cameras/Batteries
  • Shoot Walk-Thru/Practice from either an 8K Camera setup or field level Hand-Held camera
  • Run SD cards from the camera locations to the video office
  • Import and edit practice footage
• Pre-Travel & Hotel Duties
  • Pack cameras and gear for the game and hotel setup
  • Set meeting rooms at the team hotel
• Gameday Responsibilities
  • Assist in breaking down meeting rooms at the hotel
  • Halftime AV setup in the locker room prior to the two minute warning
  • Test the set up to ensure all equipment is in working order during pregame
    • Projector, Doc Cameras, Projector Screens, Extension Cord
  • For games, the intern is also responsible for the distribution of Surface Tablets on the field
    • This includes ensuring all Tablets are accounted for coming out of the locker room at halftime
  • Assist in packing up video gear post game and loading it onto the truck
• Day after game duties
  • Unpacking game travel gear 
  • Testing equipment to ensure no damage during travel back to the facility
  • Replace any supplies exhausted during the trip
  • Update opponent data for various fields in accordance with coaching requests
  • Assist in marking, attaching data, and sharing NFL TV Copies
• MISC
  • Shoot NFL Free Agent workouts
  • Assist in converting College games from the NFL CGE Network and attaching data to the games
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• General knowledge of the game of football
• High School Diploma

• Basic computer knowledge
