Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the general upkeep, maintenance, and repair of apartment units and common areas within our residential buildings. This position involves a broad range of tasks, including HVAC system maintenance, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and appliance repair. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- HVAC installs & Maintenance
- General Maintenance & Repairs
- Routine Inspections & Preventative Maintenance
- Emergency Maintenance- On call (as needed)
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- HVAC/EPA Certification (Preferred)
- 1-3 years of experience in property maintenance or a related field (preferred).
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently..
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, or additional hours as needed to meet deadlines.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, and working in confined spaces.
- Ability to move furniture, appliances, and equipment as needed.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions as required by the job.
