About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Educational Support Specialist to join our team at Ambridge Area School District. As a key member of our staff, you will provide support to teachers and students, improving the overall quality of education in the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students and monitor their progress.
- Provide individualized support to students inside and outside the classroom to ensure full participation in activities.
- Collaborate with professionals such as speech therapists, social workers, occupational and physical therapists to support student development.
- Document service logs for student rosters in the Pennsylvania School-Based ACCESS program.
- Fulfill assigned duties and tasks by teachers and supervisors.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma is required; minimum two years of experience in a related field is preferred.
- Certifications such as Act 34/151/114/126/168 Clearances/Certifications are necessary.
Requirements
- The ability to think critically and problem-solve is essential.
- Knowledge of educational protocol and procedures is required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
