About the Role
This position is responsible for providing support to the teacher and students in an appropriate manner that improves the overall quality of education in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the education and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the classroom teacher.
- Implement Individualized Education Plans for the students and monitor their progress.
- Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech therapists, social workers, occupational and physical therapists.
- Support students with emotional or behavioral concerns and assist them in developing appropriate social skills.
- Document and maintain service logs for student rosters in educational programs.
