Cafeteria Worker Position
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Cafeteria Worker at the Ambridge Area School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving food to students and staff, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, and providing exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a food service setting and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. They will also be physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting heavy items.
Responsibilities will include preparing and serving meals, maintaining the cleanliness of the cafeteria area, assisting with inventory and proper food storage, and following recipes and presentation specifications. The Cafeteria Worker will also handle cash transactions with customers and assist in the setup and breakdown of the serving area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve food to students and staff
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the cafeteria, kitchen, and storage areas
- Assist in the receipt and stocking of food and supplies
- Operate kitchen equipment and appliances safely and efficiently
- Collect and dispose of waste in an appropriate manner
