About the Role
The Ambridge Area School District is seeking a skilled School Health Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide critical support to the Certified School Nurse in ensuring the health and well-being of our students and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Certified School Nurse in performing medical procedures and administering medications.
- Develop and maintain relationships with parents, teachers, and administrators to ensure effective communication about student health concerns.
- Participate in health education programs and activities to promote healthy habits among students.
- Perform basic first aid and emergency care as needed.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- A valid PA License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
- Current First Aid and CPR/AED certifications.
- Act 34/151/114/126/168 clearances/certifications.
Skills and Qualities:
