Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Develop & Scale Inside Sales Team: Develop, implement, and oversee ongoing sales training programs, ensuring the team has the knowledge and skills needed for success. Recruit, train, and mentor a team of Inside Sales Representatives to drive performance.
- Sales Strategy Execution: Design and implement inside sales strategies that drive pipeline growth, lead conversion, and revenue generation.
- Execution of Key Initiatives: Lead and support key sales initiatives aimed at increasing revenue, improving customer satisfaction, and driving team success.
- Sales Metrics and Reporting: Track and evaluate team sales performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), leveraging data insights to drive improvements. Proficient in utilizing tools such as Salesforce (SFDC) for comprehensive reporting and analysis.
- Process Optimization: Refine and scale inside sales workflows, leveraging Salesforce for efficiency.
- Onboarding of New Inside Sales Reps: Manage the onboarding process for new hires, providing them with the tools, resources, and training they need to succeed.
- Performance: Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members, offering constructive feedback and establishing development goals. Conduct individual strategy sessions with team members to discuss pipeline opportunities, refine sales tactics, and address any challenges.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in the sales process to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Fostering New Ideas for Growth: Encourage innovative ideas and solutions to propel business growth and improve sales processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, other sales teams, and customer support, to align sales efforts with company initiatives.
- Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve team challenges or conflicts, promoting a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
- Budget and Resource Allocation: Assist in managing the inside sales department's budget, ensuring resources are effectively allocated to maximize productivity.
- Collaboration with VP of Sales: Foster strong relationships and maintain open communication with executive leadership to align team objectives with organizational goals and drive strategic initiatives.
- Market Insight: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to guide team strategies.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Track record of success building and implementing an impactful Inside Sales team, preferably in the medical device or equivalent industry.
- 10 years’ experience in Inside Sales/Sales with a minimum of 5 years of experience leading teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication.
- Knowledge of salesforce or equivalent CRM systems.
- Must role model the Ambu values (Take Charge, Team Up, and Be True) at all times.
- 5-10% overnight travel.
- Open only to candidates local to or within commutable distance to our Columbia, MD office.
