What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Ambulatory Surgery Center position at Ambulatory Surgical Center?
Housekeeping will make sure all assigned areas of the center are clean, neat, and tidy. It may be required at times to do heavy cleaning, like cleaning windows and furniture, and air vents.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Requires extensive mobility
- Requires pushing, pulling and lifting various equipment/furnishings
- Vending, lifting
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily Routines:
- Vacuum floors / stairs / entrance & carpeted areas.
- Mop all floors
- Dust all surfaces (counters, cabinets, etc.)
- Clean bathrooms on all floors
- Clean male & female lockers
- Replace empty toilet rolls / paper towel dispenser / soap dispenser/ hand sanitizer dispenser
- Empty and replace garbage bags through the center (offices, kitchen, nurse stations)
- Wipe all glass doors and handles or handrails
When surgery center is open, the following needs cleaning as well as the daily routine:
- Vacuum waiting area (furniture)
- Clean tables in waiting area
- Clean floors inside operating rooms, empty garbage inside the operating rooms, wipe down walls
- Wipe down all edges and corners in center and bathrooms
- High dust and low dust in all areas
- Wipe down all window ledges
- Wipe down elevator doors
- Clean out all refrigerators and wipe down refrigerator doors and handles
- Sweep emergency stairs
- Dust all light fixtures through facility
Additionally, there may be a need to scrub and polish the operating rooms' floors (monthly)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
