Job Description - Carpenter/Remodeler
Job Overview: We are hiring a skilled Carpenter/Remodeler to join our team. The ideal candidate will handle various carpentry and remodeling tasks, such as building, installing, and repairing structures. This role involves working mainly on residential projects, ensuring top-quality work and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood, drywall, and other materials for construction and remodeling projects.
- Install, repair, and maintain structures like cabinets, windows, doors, stairs, and flooring.
- Update and remodel homes and offices, focusing on walls, ceilings, and flooring.
- Install and repair drywall, framing, trim, and other materials.
- Collaborate with other contractors, electricians, and plumbers to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Ensure work meets local building codes and safety standards.
- Keep a clean and organized work environment.
- Help with demolition work, including removing old materials and preparing spaces for new installations.
- Communicate with clients to understand and meet their needs.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a carpenter or remodeler with a strong project portfolio.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction practices.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools for carpentry and remodeling.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills with clients and other team members.
- Physical stamina to perform construction tasks.
- Experience in various remodeling tasks (kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, etc.).
Work Environment:
- Work in residential, commercial, and sometimes outdoor settings.
- Physical tasks may include lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, and working in different weather conditions
