AMC/MSM, a Patrick Industries company, a manufacturer of fabricated aluminum products, sheet and coil, and custom metal products is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to add to their Team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a proven ability to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing processes while overseeing employees and organizing workflows. The role requires a deep understanding of complex operations and the ability to optimize daily activities while minimizing costs to achieve maximum quality and efficiency. This position is crucial to our corporate objective of delivering high-quality products and maximizing profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Set and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly goals to employees effectively.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of organizational workflow, delegate responsibilities, and develop schedules.
- Utilize supervisory skills to manage and coach employees, ensuring effective performance and development.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety, including proper equipment use and adherence to safety protocols.
- Oversee all essential equipment, ensuring regular maintenance is scheduled and performed.
- Apply analytical skills to monitor production output, ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Generate and submit detailed reports on performance and progress.
- Employ critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify efficiency and productivity issues, suggesting and implementing improvements.
- Provide robust coaching and training for new employees, including safety procedures and machinery operation.
- Enforce compliance with safety guidelines and company standards consistently.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Business Management, Organizational Leadership, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- 10 years of progressive operations/manufacturing experience.
- Proven experience in Manufacturing/Production leadership or similar role.
- Familiarity with various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, self-motivation, and results-driven approach.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with competing and changing priorities
