Job Description

What you will be doing:
- Execute tests, including Regression Testing, System Integration Testing, and Product Testing, focusing on internally developed application systems, reporting systems, and corresponding data movement.
- Run SQL database queries to support testing efforts.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-implementation activities.
- Log defects and provide detailed documentation, including supporting content and steps, using Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
- Validate test results, report frequency and degree of code/logic errors to the QA Manager, and provide QA signoff or rejection.
- Maintain QA templates and artifacts, such as test plans/scripts, test automation scripts, detailed test conditions, test results, job aids, functional requirements, and interface specifications.
- Provide level of effort analysis and ensure proper QA test environment configuration, coordination, and management.
- Establish and optimize relationships with internal and external partners, aligning resource utilization to provide the best total cost of ownership and return on investment.
- Ensure successful navigation, coordination, and communication for development projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field with an information technology focus.
- 1 years of experience in test planning, documentation, and execution.
- 3 years of experience in SQL Scripting
- Knowledge in systems development lifecycle methodologies, test structures, and risk and control in software development methods
- Experience in test automation.
- Experience working with cross-technical project teams to develop end-to-end solutions and recommendations
- Leadership abilities, including driving change, building consensus, and acting with integrity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to interface with both business and technology teams.
- Strong skills in gathering and clarifying business requirements by closely collaborating with business stakeholders.
- Ability to comprehend and understand project strategy, roadmaps, and execution timelines.
- Formal education or experience in Software Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or SQL Server scripting.

Proficiency with a variety of productivity tools and technologies, including:
- Automation scripting and testing tools
- Database creation and maintenance using SQL and Query Analyzer
- Middleware software like BizTalk
- ETL software such as DataStage
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Publisher, and Visio)
- Web Page maintenance skills
- Extensive understanding of systems development lifecycle methodologies, test structures, and software development controls.
- Experience developing processes to capture and maintain quality metrics and QA standards.
- Awareness of industry best practices for new system development and modifications to existing systems.
- A constant learner who stays up to date on emerging technologies, practices, and quality assurance industry trends.
