Responsibilities and Duties
As a Logistics and Supply Chain Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include supervising and training hourly warehouse employees, administering plant rules, programs, and procedures applicable to hourly employees. You will work closely with other departments to provide leadership in areas such as production planning, inventory control, and warehouse management. Your focus on quality and safety will ensure that all members of the shift are trained properly and follow-up on good communication practices and effective leadership/supervision.
You will maintain safe working conditions throughout the plant by addressing unsafe conditions or acts, serving as a member of the Plant Safety Committee, implementing approved safety recommendations, and ensuring compliance with established safety standards. Additionally, you will conduct monthly safety meetings with shift personnel, handle employee complaints and suggestions fairly and impartially, and assist in reviewing labor and materials costs related to operations.
