Job Description
Position Overview:
The Engineering Intern position will support key areas such as: Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and Procurement. This position will be maintaining critical injection molding components and machines in our systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with inventory and maintenance requirements. This position will work with Engineering/Technical team to support new and ongoing initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist in maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) within the assigned work area.
Responsible for following all Plant safety guidelines
Understand and follow EHS policy and requirements.
Report actual and potential EHS incidents and emergencies to manager.
Assist Plant Engineering/Technical team in creating an inventory list of all injection molding components (molds and machines)
Provide support in organizing scheduled preventive maintenance scheduling and data entry
Drive assigned projects to completion within the agreed upon project schedules
Communicate project results and initiatives to internal stakeholders in an efficient and effective way
Build and develop strong relationships and work effectively with peers with internal and external customers
Perform other duties as assigned by the Technical Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled or recently graduated from in an undergraduate or graduate degree program majoring in Engineering. Particular interest would be given to concentration in plastics, electrical, chemical or mechanical engineering.
- 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Extensive PC skills including: Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks assigned
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational planning and follow-through abilities
