Job Description
About the Role
Amcor’s first priority is to ensure the safety of our co-workers. The Palletizer/Downstream Operator must safely operator the various packaging equipment on a 12-hour shift and ensure that both quality and productivity meet Amcor standards.
- Safety first - be aware of and abide by company safety policies and procedures at all times
- Complete quality checks as required and communicate quality issues to the Shift Lead, Shift Supervisor and Quality Department
- Maintain a high degree of housekeeping at all time, keeping equipment and work area clean and organized
- Ensure equipment is in good and safe working condition and communicate to the Shift Lead, Shift Supervisor and Maintenance when mechanical issues arise.
- Effectively run the Palletizer, being aware of your surroundings to ensure conveyer lines are free of blockages
- Accurately complete all required paperwork and hand in at the end of shift
- Attend daily shift meetings and training as required
- Ability to perform duties for 12-hour shift in a plant manufacturing setting
- Complete all other tasks assigned

About You
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior production related experience preferred
- Able to effectively communicate safety, quality and production issues
- Able to work quickly and complete tasks in a fast-paced production environment
- High attention to detail
- Self-motivated with ability to work individually and as a team
- Must be willing to work any shift
