Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Program Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating employees that are providing business operations support services in the areas of clerical and administrative; reasonable accommodation; human resources (HR) consulting; financial support; facility management; environmental; safety; public affairs; and Material Technical Screening (MTS) and purchase request-processing. The work is preformed at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme.
Duties
- Lead and manage multiple projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Utilize project scheduling techniques to develop detailed project plans that outline tasks, milestones, and deliverables.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and manage relationships to ensure quality service delivery.
- Implement change management processes to facilitate smooth transitions during project execution.
- Employ Kanban methodologies to enhance workflow efficiency and team collaboration.
- Present project updates and reports to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of progress and challenges.
- Oversee process management initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency across projects.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in mathematics, engineering, M.B.A or other technical Degree
- 12 years relevant experience supporting professional and administrative support services programs
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA III in Program Management
- Certified SCRUM Master or Project Management Institute (PMI) Agile Certified Practitioner
- Conceptual knowledge of U.S. Navy Combat Systems
- Foreign Military Sales (FMS) familiarity
- Communication and briefing skills
- Experience with cost, schedule and performance as it relates to program execution
- Program and personnel management
- Financial management
- Risk management policies and assessment
- Experience working in a program office or PEO at a Navy Systems Command
- Program management experience running a large support services contract with multiple subcontractors
