Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc. is hiring Sr. Product Development Engineers to develop and/or test electrical/electronic components and/or systems for semiconductor products. Design, develop, and/or manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release and end of life. Serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product's lifestyle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line. Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Under limited supervision, exercise judgment within defined company procedures and practices to select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Qualifications: Degree required
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Signal Processing, or related field.
Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Two (2) years of experience in job offered or closely related engineering role.
Specific skills required: The following skills are required:
Must have experience in the following:
1.Audio or Video Signal Processing;
2.Image Analysis and Pattern recognition;
3.Characterization of Low-Speed IPs and High-Speed IPs;
4.Contributing to the development and validation of test programs, conducting in-depth analysis of text data and implementing corrective actions to enhance test yield and quality; and
5.Using Cadence-SimVision debug tool to identify potential bugs in vectors during pre-silicon stage in order to reduce the effort on vector debug in post-silicon phase.
Experience may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, or internship experience.
Can work remotely.
