- Location : San Jose, CA, US
- Onsite / Hybrid : This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week), either in a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op / intern term.
- Duration : May 27, 2025, to August 8, 2025 or June 23, 2025 to September 12, 2025
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING :
IREE is an open-source compiler toolchain that is built to be a full-stack compiler for ML models built using MLIR. It is built from the ground up to be able to target multiple hardware backends (like CPU, GPU and NPU devices). With an internship on this team, you would have the opportunity to work at any level of the compiler stack, starting from front-end like PyTorch (through Torch-MLIR), full program optimizations, or low-level code generation optimizations on CPU or GPU. You will also work on a production compiler that is targeting efficient compilation of the latest ML models (like SDXL and LLama family of models) on the latest AMD GPUs. In addition, you get to work with a team of highly motivated and dedicated engineers. Many of them are contributors / maintainers of the Structured op based compilation framework built in MLIR encompassing dialects like Linalg and Vector dialects and transformations in those dialects.
