The Role

AMD is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor, you will drive the development of high-quality, industry-leading technologies and help enhance AMD's software capabilities. You will work collaboratively across teams, leading the design and integration of scalable, high-performance systems, while ensuring smooth integration into continuous integration pipelines.

The Person

The ideal candidate possesses an innovative and problem-solving mindset, has a keen eye for software engineering development, and is diligent and passionate about technology. The AMD AI Framework Department is looking to hire a team member who has expertise in continuous integration (CI) support to help drive the efficiency and reliability of our development operations. A successful candidate will need to employ strong knowledge of computer technologies, leadership skills in technical areas, and software engineering expertise, as well as a strong ability to compete effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This individual will work collaboratively with different teams of engineers and stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions..

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and drive execution of comprehensive, highly effective software for sophisticated new technology and new product introduction projects.
• Validate new software features before releasing them to customers, ensuring quality, functionality, and compatibility with existing systems.
• Contribute to a high-functioning feature team, fostering collaboration, problem-solving, and consistent delivery of high-quality features.
• Collaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver key planning solutions and the technology necessary for their successful implementation.
• Help design and implement future system architecture to ensure scalability, durability, and innovation, keeping long-term goals in mind.
• Work very closely with development teams and project managers to drive results, aligning technical execution with project timelines and objectives.
• Support framework development operations with continuous integration, ensuring seamless integration of code changes, automated testing, and rapid delivery cycles to maintain system integrity and accelerate release schedules.
  
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in C, C .
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles.
• Solid understanding of Software Engineering principles, data structures, algorithms, operating systems concepts, and multithread programming.
• Excellent design and code development skills, with familiarity in Linux and modern software tools and techniques for development.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong experience in continuous integration (CI) practices, including managing CI pipelines, automating builds, and ensuring smooth integration and deployment processes.
• Hands-on experience supporting framework development with CI tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar, ensuring rapid and reliable software delivery.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git), and experience with branching strategies and managing code integration in a CI/CD environment.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and integrating them into CI pipelines to ensure consistent quality throughout development cycles.
• Experience in troubleshooting and debugging issues related to continuous integration and deployment workflows.
  
  
  

Academic Credentials

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
