Job Description : As a member of the SoC Physical Integration team, you'll interface with various engineering groups, including architecture, design, CAD, software, and product engineering, across various geographies to work towards the physical / electrical verification and tape out of AMD SoC FPGA / ACAP devices. Common essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to : Defining and developing flows and methodologies for chip level integrationDeveloping tools for design verification or efficiencyDesigning (RTL and custom), verifying, and integrating FPGA / ACAP sub-blocksCoordinating activities between different design groups to ensure smooth integrationExecuting chip level physical implementation and verificationExecuting chip level electrical and timing verification for signoffJob Qualifications : Basic understanding of FPGA architecture and VLSI fundamentalsKnowledge of and / or experience with design and verification tools such as Virtuoso and CalibreStrong debug skills and equipped with resources to seek out answersKnowledge of and / or experience with P&R tools, synthesis, CTS, route, ECOsKnowledge of and / or experience with Electromigration, Reliability and / or IR dropKnowledge of and / or experience with STA tools and conceptsFundamental circuit design knowledge including simulation experience with Spice and VerilogFamiliarity with common netlist formats such as gateverilog, CDL, DEF / LEF, and SPEFScripting experience using Perl, Python, TCL, C-shell, Make and / or other scripting languagesKnowledge and experience with basic Unix data management and job control, load dispatch tools such as LSFGreat documentation / organization skills and ability to ensure tasks stay on trackExcellent written and oral communication skillsACADEMIC CREDENTIALS : Masters degree in computer engineering / Electrical Engineering Desirable assets with prior exposure to physical design or block design#LI-CJ2At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.
