Job Details

• Location: Austin, TX
• Onsite: This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week), in an onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term.

What You Will Be Doing

Excited about exploring leading technology CPU silicon validation? Do you enjoy problem-solving unique implementation and challenges? Then we have the right role for you.

We are seeking a highly motivated CPU intern/co-op to join our team. You will be responsible for all aspects of post-silicon validation on next generation server processors, including test content development, volume validation and silicon debug. In this role -

• You will work with Architects and read documentation to understand features to be validated
• You will develop content to execute on silicon platforms
• You will perform debug of compilation failures and execution test runs on silicon platforms
• Your additional responsibilities may include implementing script/tool for Triage Automation
  
  
  

Who We Are Looking For

• You are currently pursuing a Master’s degree majoring in Electrical engineering, Computer engineering or a related field
• If you have any of the following skills and are enthusiastic about this role, we strongly encourage you to apply -

• Proficient with scripting tools like Perl or Python
• Advanced proficiency with UNIX environment, compiling with GCC and debugging programs with debugger
• Working knowledge of both Linux and Windows environments
• Knowledge of debug Verilog/System Verilog RTL
• General tools experience with MS Office Suite and Visio

• Advanced proficiency in a high-level programming language like C/C /Java

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
