In one sentence

This position is responsible for providing solutions and data architecture, system design, installation, and configuration assistance, and internal technical project management. This role will include analyzing client processes, understanding client’s business landscape, defining requirements and then delivering solutions and cloud computing strategies. The Solution Architect must be capable of guiding the installation and configuration of their solutions while remaining focused on overall client satisfaction.

What will your job look like?

You Will

• Work as a trusted advisor to customers in their migration journey.
• Engage with senior customer leaders and technical stakeholders.
• Lead business process re-engineering activities and discovery workshops.
• Provide best practice guidance to consulting clients.
• Work in conjunction with project teams (Project Managers, Product Specialists, and other Solution Architects, etc.) to manage and deliver client expectations.
• Provide recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and optimization.
• Provide appropriate collaboration, direction and feedback to team members.
• Identify, document, and drive resolution for any program issues.
• Document business process flows and functional business requirements.
• Deliver the link between technology to tangible solutions in the customer’s migration path.
• Develop and deliver Architectural Vision documents, such as high-level reference architectures.
• Make recommendations on customer’s future state data architecture.
• Aid in defining network, database, middleware technology footprints.
• Aid in the installation and configuration of industry-level code and data analysis tools.
• Aid in the installation and configuration of Linux environments, including RHE
  
  

All you need is...

(Minimum 10 Years Of The Following Demonstrated Skill/experience)

• Experience installing and configuring industry-level code and data analysis tools in a Linux Environment.
• Hands-on experience with Application migration and legacy modernization projects.
• Solid experience with IBM Mainframe or Cloud architectures, including print, securities and scheduling solutions.
• Expert level skills with Data Migration strategies – IMS and DB2 experience preferred.
• Deep understanding of multiple ETL tools in the industry.
• Solid experience in working through complex data performance issues on both the mainframe and cloud platforms.
• Excellent client-facing skills including the ability to influence and negotiate with clients; proven track record of customer focus including the ability to foster long-term client relationships.
• Advanced communication skills including business writing and presentations; Advanced ability to present in-depth technical solutions.
• Self-motivated with the ability to motivate and energize a project team; driven to exceed customer and project goals.
• Solid understanding of cloud technologies such as containerization.
• Deep experience with various data stores, such as IMS, DB2, Postgres/SQL, VSAM.
• Strong enterprise solutions and data architecture for large scale enterprise systems.
• Exposure to mainframe application functionality.
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Information Systems or related field preferred; equivalent combination of skill/experience will be considered.
