Job Title: Director of Nursing (DON) - Nursing Home
Location: Chapel Manor, 1104 Welsh Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19115
Position Type: Contract (9 weeks, with potential for extension)
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (40 hours/week guaranteed)
Compensation:
- Local Rate: $70-75/hr (W2)
- Traveler Rate: $45/hr (W2) $1100 Non-Taxable Weekly Stipend
- 40 hours/week guaranteed with potential for overtime.
- Orientation provided to ensure a smooth start in the role.
Position Overview:
Chapel Manor, a well-established nursing home in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our leadership team. This is a 9-week contract position starting February 19, 2025, with the potential for extension and a permanent offer based on performance.
We are looking for an RN with experience in a long-term care setting, and the ability to manage a nursing team while ensuring top-quality patient care. If you're an experienced RN Supervisor, Unit Manager, or ADON, we would love to hear from you as well!
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the nursing team, ensuring the highest standards of care for residents.
- Manage and assess the delivery of care services across all departments.
- Oversee daily clinical operations and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and implement care plans for residents, ensuring their needs are met.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Support, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff to maintain a positive and productive environment.
- Coordinate staff training and ongoing education programs.
- Lead the facility's orientation program for new nursing staff.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Previous experience as Director of Nursing (DON), RN Supervisor, Unit Manager, or ADON in a nursing home or similar healthcare facility.
- Strong clinical leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare regulations and nursing home compliance standards.
