Scope
The purpose of this position is to support the Commercial Team of AMECO’s Business Development Organization in meeting or exceeding the company’s commercial goals. This position provides a center of excellence for sales process and proposal development with a focus on supporting the businesses in the winning of work by providing coordination, editing, writing, formatting, graphics, presentations, and systems to support the Business Lines’ sales and marketing, functional, and corporate requirements. This position is part of the Commercial Excellence group and reports to the Commercial Excellence Manager.
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
- In conjunction with commercial team, communicates to management significant activities regarding new work prospects, ongoing projects, current proposals, and client visits.
- Manages the Commercial Onboarding and Training process, procedures, and activities.
- Maintains an awareness of marketing decisions, status of client proposal evaluations and acceptance, and contract negotiations.
- Supports commercial activities such as Client Influence Plan, Bid No Bid, WinSmart Strategy, and Red Team Reviews to ensure sales process is followed.
- For all Account Management and Opportunity Pursuit efforts – Manage, Track and Report on Progress to date, including Proposal Schedule Performance and Deliverables Status.
- Assists local/regional management in the commercial/operations interface.
- Acts as a liaison between management, operations, account managers, proposal teams, etc., maintaining continuity of communication concerning strategy, marketing, and sales efforts.
- Organizes and conducts weekly Commercial Workshop Meeting.
- Supports commercial team in maintaining and reporting CRM (Dynamics 365) data, including Account and sales activity, client prospects, and contract awards.
- Supports commercial and marketing teams’ requests for information (RFIs), presentations, proposals, qualifications and other commercial tools and documents.
- Coordinate proposal kickoff meetings, proposal reviews, and proposal planning meetings.
- During proposal development, organize the process for collecting author input and ensure that all standards are met, including format consistency within the proposal collateral, and that the proposal fully reflects client requirements and needs.
- Provide editorial and coordination services, as required, to produce responsive, clear, consistent, and readable qualifications documents, proposals, and presentations.
- Perform final compliance check, coordinate proposal production and assembly, and confirm delivery of final product to the client by established deadline.
- Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity following organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
- Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff
- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
- Adhere to and support AMECO's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
- Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
- May need to travel to attend to business related matters
- Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality

- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and no previous years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to four (4) years* if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Preferred Qualifications - Related Education, Experience & Skills
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent or work experience in English, marketing, communications, or business preferred
- Strong organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to lead are a must
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Able to organize, expedite, and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Keen sense of attention to detail
- Able to handle stress, work with high energy, and work beyond the normal work hours, as needed, with little to no advance notice
- Able to accommodate a flexible schedule; willing and able to adapt to the demands of a high-paced corporate environment
- Able to manage others and work with minimal supervision
