The Customer Account Specialist I conducts work directly related to management or general business operations in an organization or functional area. The work requires advanced knowledge gained from a prolonged course of specialized instruction, experience, and expertise. The position includes work requiring the consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgment concerning matters of significance.
The purpose of this position is to coordinate the delivery of services to contractors at various locations who have contracted with the company or who are interested in its products or services. This position may train other members of the department.
Key Responsibilities :
Monitor contracts and orders to ensure contract compliance.
Negotiate with carriers, and customers to get the best prices and ensure customer satisfaction.
Research resources to find equipment or tools that have been requested that are not in stock.
Coordinate the logistics of getting requested material from its current location to the customer as quickly and cost-effectively as possible.
Monitor the department’s work orders, contracts, and billings to ensure all are reconciled.
Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity per organization and / or project objectives and guidelines.
Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff.
Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
Adhere to and support AMECO's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.
Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job.
May need to travel to attend to business-related matters.
Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality.
Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements :
Accredited two (2) year technical or business degree and six (6) years of work-related experience, or
A combination of education and work-related experience equal to eight (8) years, preferably in customer service and logistics in the equipment industry.
Minimum Qualifications :
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
Intermediate in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Industrial / Construction tooling knowledge is a plus.
Strong Multitasking, and Problem-Solving skills in a fast-paced environment are required.
Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state / province, and federal / national statutes and guidelines.
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
Certifications :
Relevant certifications preferred.

None.
Physical Demands / Requirements :
Individuals may be required to frequently sit / drive stand, walk, lift / carry, reach, stoop, push / pull, handle / grasp / feel, talk, hear, engage in repetitive motions, and demonstrate eye / hand / foot coordination.
Close vision is required for this job.
Employees may be required to occasionally lift, carry, and / or move up to 25 pounds.
Often required to work at a fast pace to meet deadlines, thus some stress may occur.
Work Environment :
Generally favorable indoor office workspace, and / or :
Occasionally may require exposure to production / manufacturing areas, which may result in being near moving mechanical parts or being exposed to fumes or airborne particles. These respective areas will require the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hearing protection, or hard hats. The noise level in the production / manufacturing areas is usually loud.
Often required to work at a fast pace to meet deadlines, thus some stress may occur.
Environmental conditions may include occasional exposure to heat, temperature changes, noise, and humidity.
Occasionally the performance of this position will require exposure to production / manufacturing areas, which may result in being near moving mechanical parts or being exposed to fumes or airborne particles. These respective areas will require the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hearing protection, or hard hats. The noise level in these areas is usually loud.
