Description: The Infrastructure & Marine Commercial Account Manager, develops, maintains, and expands relationships within assigned territory and strategically assigned large customers. Responsible for achieving commercial revenue growth and profitability quotas. Must be able to represent the entire range of company products and services within assigned territory and customers, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by the company. Customer base includes industrial, manufacturing, construction, electrical power, chemical/refinery, marine construction, bridges, welding & rigging and civil industries. Rental, Sales, Repair and Service Offering: Heavy Equipment, Consumables, Specialty Equipment, Surplus Tools & Equipment, and Fabrication.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develops and executes plans/strategies for developing accounts/business, achieving established commercial and profitability goals.
- Establishes & builds key strategic customer relationships with key personnel in assigned territory.
- Manages customer expectations and contributes to a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Sells to and through key customer constituencies (executive, construction management, project management, procurement, etc).
- Works collaboratively with other Commercial team members to ensure complete AMECO strategy carried out at prospect/customer.
- Targets specific prospects and carries out established commercial & marketing plans to drive AMECO business in these accounts
- Networks extensively to surround prospect/customer with AMECO solutions and brand.
- Monitors and analyzes customer, market and competitor’s activity within assigned accounts and provides feedback to company leadership team and other company functions.
- Proactively participates in a collaborative strategic commercial account planning process developing mutual performance objectives, financial targets and critical milestones.
- Leads solution-based efforts/initiatives to address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
- Travels and participates in in applicable meetings, tradeshows, industry association meetings and conferences on behalf of AMECO, while working with assigned Commercial Outside Representatives, customers, suppliers, or other business partners to develop key long-term relationships.
- Aids in the interpretation, preparation and response to customer inquiries with respect to quotations, terms, applications and/or contracts.
- Works collaboratively with all internal departments.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
JOB EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE and/or SKILLS:
- Minimum of five years of strategic commercial experience, with a proven commercial record in a business-to-business commercial environment, preferably in a related industry such as Heavy Equipment or Marine Sales.
- Excellent commercial account management skills with the ability to develop and maintain business based upon value added principles.
- Detailed knowledge of the company’s products/and competitive markets.
- Must have proven ability to present to high level client personnel and successfully close new business opportunities.
- Financial acumen and proven conceptual commercial skills.
- Demonstrates ability to think creatively, while exhibiting awareness of best Commercial practices and methods.
- Team oriented, works very effectively with others.
- Communicates clearly and effectively, along with strong persuasive abilities.
- Displays solid motivational and leadership skills.
- Maintains a professional, confident demeanor always, while maintaining credibility and trustworthiness amongst both internal and external customers.
- Solid customer service skills, with the ability to build/maintain long-term customer relations.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products as well as Outlook, and the use of other computer applications.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Position will work remote from home, with frequent overnight travel, while covering a multi-state region.
- Most customer settings travelled to and/or called upon are in an office/corporate setting or project/construction sites.
- Position requires the ability to work alone and collaborate as a part of a team.
- Occasionally, the performance of this position will require exposure to project/production/construction sites or areas requiring the use of personal protective equipment and abiding by site specific safety rules.
- Pace/work environment is described as fast paced.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Travel will entail both driving and flying. Valid driver’s license required.
- Must be able to accommodate frequent overnight travel demands. Based on site requirements, must pass a background/security check.
- Availability as requested/required for after-hour emergency calls, necessary overtime as the workload dictates.
Salary : $100,000 - $115,000
