What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Technician II position at AMECO?
AMECO is looking to hire an experienced and highly motivated ESD Parts Warehouse Technician. As a Warehouse Technician you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately performing a broad range of warehouse duties related to the receipt, shipment, storage, distribution or delivery of products and general warehouse maintenance. Based on our small team environment, dependability is critical, including the ability to work overtime when needed. This is a day shift position.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving/Stocking:
- Count product and verify against packing list.
- Accurately receive product in accordance with procedures.
- Reports and notes shortages or damages
- Organize/stage items in preparation for stocking or shipping.
- Load, unload, move or store product according to delivery or routing documents or supervisor instructions.
- Verify proper placement (bin location) and stock product accordingly.
- Rotate and replenish stock as required.
Picking/Packing:
- Pull orders accurately by verifying location and part number against picklist.
- Stage pulled orders in appropriate staging areas: freight, ground, will call.
- Reports discrepancies to management and remedies inventory when verified.
Other duties:
- Organize and complete appropriate paperwork relating to the receipt, storage, or distribution of materials.
- Ensures work areas are organized efficiently while maintaining security/safety measures.
- Exercise general warehouse maintenance to ensure cleanliness/appearance/safety.
- Continually exercise precautions to protect warehouse contents again damage or loss.
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with internal/external customers.
- Cross train and perform back-up duties for other warehouse associates as requested.
- Complete equipment inspection checklists daily, prior to use of equipment.
- Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with team members and internal/external customers.
- Complies with all company policies/procedures and safety guidelines.
- Upholds AMECO’s productivity, quality, and safety standards.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates must have a minimum of three years general warehouse experience.
- Able to drive and safely operate a forklift, stock picker and electronic pallet jack.
- Experience using bar code readers, computer terminals (computer literate) and/or other electronic devices.
- Ability to operate Telehandler and Airial Lift equipment.
- Solid mathematical abilities/aptitude
- Capable of working at a fast pace, with excellent time management skills
- Self-motivated, self-reliant, able to work with little direction.
- Reliable/dependable (prompt, with good attendance)
- Capable of multi-tasking and flexible to change direction or focus as priorities dictate.
Certifications, Licenses, Registration: Previous license/experience operating a forklift or other lifting equipment.

Close vision is required for this job. Employees are required to regularly lift, carry and/or move heavy objects.

- This position works in a shop warehouse setting along with outdoor storage with exposure to repair shop and exposure to weather throughout the day.
- Role involves working alone and collaborating as part of a team. Often required to work at a fast pace to meet deadlines, thus some stress may occur.
- Environmental conditions include frequent exposure to heat, temperature changes, noise and humidity.
