Certification and Job Details
Our agency requires nurses to hold a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and direct home nursing care according to physician orders, adhering to agency policies and procedures.
- Apply the nursing process competently to ensure high-quality patient care.
Leadership and Supervision
- Directly supervise and evaluate Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses.
Work Environment and Requirements
- Home visits and periodic office meetings are required.
- A reliable vehicle, current driver's license, and agency-required liability insurance are necessary.
Types of Cases and Experience
- We handle various cases, including Start of Care, Wound Care, and Follow-up Visits.
- Nurses must have at least 1 year of adult home health experience or 1 year of hospice experience, depending on the specialty.
Requirements for Travelers
- Nurses must have recent specialty experience.
- Weekend requirements vary by location and profession; please discuss with your recruiter during the interview.
- Oncall requirements also vary; please discuss with your recruiter during the interview.
- Nurses may be required to travel up to 75 miles from their home clinic.
- Pending licenses are not accepted; nurses must have their licenses in hand.
Schedule and Contract Information
- The contract length is 13 weeks.
- The schedule typically consists of M-F 8am-5pm hours with occasional call duties.
Technical Requirements
- All professionals must be proficient in HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) and have used it within the last 6 months.
- RNs, PTs, and OTs must also be proficient in Oasis.
Additional Requirements
- Candidates going to GA must sign the CS document within 48 hours.
- BLS certification is required.
- Candidates must review the compliance basics prior to starting work.
